So, how do we know if we are reading the Bible properly? If whenever your reading the Bible and it bothers you and troubles you and sometimes even makes you angry, chances are your beginning to understand it. Hang in there with reading it because the Bible is filled with amazing blessings but to get to them we must travel through some muddy waters.

I guess I began wondering if there were other Christians raised in the church who one day realized decades later that they never really read the Bible . They have no clue what it says. They only know what someone else told them it says.
A funny thing happens when you read Gods Word as it was meant to be read. In context from beginning to end. Cover to cover. You soon discover that what you were told doesn't square with what it actually says.

This blog chronicles my journey from when my eyes began to open since my first time thru the Bible. I examine how so many passages of scripture get twisted to fit someone's agenda. I talk a lot about "context." Quite often I sound critical and judgmental. This cannot be avoided. My goal is to promote discernment. My goal is to encourage others to research what the read and listen to . So many believers have no idea why they believe what they do.
The main idea of this blog is context. Read Gods Word as a book. Not rocket science. It will take some time. It wont happen over night. Comparing what we "thought" the Bible says to what it "actually" says can be frustrating but the blessing of understanding Gods Word in context is worth the effort.

The lie begins here

I'm including this for anyone who might be serious in wanting to understand what's happened in the visible church they grew up in.

Keep in mind, this is only for those who truly, themselves believe, "something ain't right"

That's key because Noone, not me, not some friend or some preacher, can tell you anything that your gonna believe.

YOU HAVE TO SEE IT, FOR YOURSELF!!

If you don't then this blog or these videos, are not for you.
If you think things in the visible church are ok, i thank you for your time but you may as well close this out and go play a round of golf or some other leisure.

But for those who wonder what's been going on, these documentaries will help educate you.

I'll admit, these videos are lengthy but rewarding. They discuss the larger and more prominent churches in our country but make no mistake about it. These influences have made there way into thousands of local church across this country.

There is no such (real) thing as a seeker friendly church and the idea of church for the un churched is a flat out lie from satan.

Please note the gross misuse of the word "church" in these videos.

Compare this to what the Bible calls the, Ecclesia.

This first video is dripping with the poison that's entered the visible church and it just so happens, many of us grew up as this mess we call "church" was in full swing.

I'll include this one also. Now if anyone were to take the time over a couple weeks, to view these, it will be truly rewarding.

But if I'm honest here, I must admit, my starting place for educating myself to church heresy , 9 years ago, wasn't videos.

It began after I read Bible thru, cover to cover.

It didn't take me long to figure out, what churches deliver, isn't what Bible teaches.

These videos explain how that occurred over the decades.

If you've never read the Bible in context, it may not have the same impact on you as it did me.
Truthfully, and I don't mean to be rude, but you truly don't know what the Bible says.
You just know what someone says the Bible says.
And random passages at that!

Discernment podcasts or blogs are not for the weak.
Think about it.
Let's say a family member is a preacher of some sort.
Imagine God revealing His truth to you as you read the Bible thru, and this conflict with those you love, be it expository teachers, family members who are in the ministry, favorite christian music artists and so on.
How might your mind process contradictions concerning what the Bible says compared to how you were raised?
Keep in mind, no one person, not me or you or some well known preacher has it ALL right.

Take some time to consider your church "experience" whether you grew up in it or not.
How much of your beliefs are based on what the Bible infers as opposed to what it actually says.
In doing so, it just might surprise you. Correction : it will surprise you.
